Antipaxos is three miles of vineyards with a beach that looks transplanted from the Caribbean — Vrika’s white sand shelves into turquoise shallows. Day boats from Corfu town and Kassiopi cross in the morning, pause at Paxos’ Blue Caves and Gaios harbour, and give you an afternoon on Antipaxos. The sailing versions of the trip beat the fast ferries: you are on the water, not just across it.

Corfu has three organised campsites, all ACSI-inspected: Camping Paleokastritsa in the olive groves of the west coast (48 pitches, pool, late May–end October), Karda Beach at Dassia on the east coast (130 pitches, mid-April–mid-October) and Dionysus Camping Village at Dafnila (107 pitches, 40 cabins, April–October — the longest season). Wild camping is illegal in Greece.
