ABOUT THIS ATTRACTION
Every province has its high point; Vojvodina’s is here, above Vršac. The Vršački breg ridge — the last western reach of the Carpathian arc — rises straight out of the plain, and its crown at Gudurički vrh (641 m) is the highest ground in all of Vojvodina. The marked path from town passes the vineyard fringe, enters cool oak forest, and reaches the medieval Vršac Tower in under an hour; the longer variants continue to the Fox’s peak and the Planinarski dom (mountain house), which serves lunch on the ridge. Paraglider pilots launch from the slopes — the steady thermals make this one of Europe’s known takeoffs — and cyclists thread the quiet roads between the vineyards. On a clear day the view runs to the Carpathians of Romania.
