ABOUT THIS EXPERIENCE
The shortest walk in inland Istria with the biggest payoff: from Pazin Castle down into the gorge, along the streambed to the Pazin Abyss, and back up — half an hour each way through Istria’s most dramatic karst scenery.
WHAT YOU’LL EXPERIENCE
What you’ll experience
A steep, rocky path descending under the castle walls into the green canyon, the sound of the river growing, and the great half-dome of the abyss opening overhead — the cave mouth where the Pazinčica enters the dark. In spring, after rain, the water roars; in summer you can walk the dry bed right up to the throat of the cave.
