ABOUT THE DESTINATION
Alghero is a walled port town on the northwest coast of Sardinia, founded by the Genoese and reshaped by the Catalan-Aragonese, whose language is still spoken in its old town. Its sea walls, the Catalan-Gothic cathedral and the harbour sit beside the coral coast and the nearby Neptune’s Grotto and Capo Caccia cliffs, with the Riviera del Corallo beaches stretching north.
