ABOUT THIS EXPERIENCE
The sfusato amalfitano is the long, sweet lemon of the Amalfi Coast, grown on the terraced groves that climb the cliffs above the villages, and it is the taste of the coast. The lemons are eaten sliced in salads, used in the pasta dishes of the coast, and above all made into limoncello, the sweet yellow liqueur made by steeping the peel in alcohol and sugar. The limoncello of the Amalfi Coast is the most famous in Italy, and it is served ice-cold at the end of the meal. Tasting the lemons and the limoncello, ideally on a terrace above the sea, is the most Amalfite way to end a day.
