ABOUT THIS ATTRACTION
The synagogue of 1909, by the Budapest architect Baumhorn Lipót, is among the largest and most beautiful Secession synagogues in the region — a trefoil of façades with a 40-metre dome, standing in an ensemble with the Jewish school (1928) and the community hall. The wartime destruction of Vojvodina’s Jews emptied it; today the building is a concert hall, with occasional guided visits and the plaque to the 1,500+ deported to the January 1942 Raid and the death camps.
