ABOUT THIS EXPERIENCE

The panoramic train is the park’s included shuttle — an electric road-train that runs along the upper end of the Plitvice valley, connecting the trailheads and the boat landings so that visitors can plan a one-way route through the lakes without climbing back up the way they came. The ride runs through the forest above the lakes and gives a relaxed overview of the upper section, and like the boats it is electric, included in the ticket, and built to keep the protected air and water clean.

WHAT YOU’LL EXPERIENCE

What you’ll experience

You board at one of the train stops near the upper trailheads and ride along the valley to another stop, passing through the forest with views down toward the lakes. The ride is short and gentle, used by most visitors as the return leg of a circuit — for example, walking down through the Upper Lakes, crossing Kozjak by boat, walking the Lower Lakes, then taking the train back up to the starting entrance. It is included in the park ticket.
