ABOUT THIS EXPERIENCE
The Danube at Karlovci is wide, slow and mercifully free of powerboat traffic — ideal water for a first paddle or a relaxed evening session. Guided runs put in below the old town and trace the bend: the baroque towers from the river level, the ferry crossing mid-stream, the vineyards of the far bank, and — downstream — the Petrovaradin Fortress marking the way to Novi Sad. Sunset sessions in summer are the local favourite.
