ABOUT THIS ATTRACTION
Kassiopi anchors the northeast: a working harbour, a headland with the ruins of a Byzantine fortress (destroyed by the Venetians, who forbade coastal castles), and a skirt of pebble coves beneath the green flanks of Pantokrator. This is the coast of the famous cove-and-cypress photographs — Kalami, Agios Stefanos, Kouloura — and the departure point for boats to Paxos and the Diapontian islands. The town itself keeps a relaxed square-and-harbour rhythm despite its popularity.
