ABOUT THE DESTINATION

Shkodra is the traditional capital of northern Albania, one of the country’s oldest continuously inhabited cities, set where the Buna river drains Shkodra Lake. Rozafa fortress crowns the hill above the town, the Mesi Bridge and the Marubi photo museum tell centuries of story, and every road into the Albanian Alps — Theth, Valbona, Koman — starts here.
