ABOUT THIS EXPERIENCE

A walk through Rastoke is a slow circuit of the lanes, bridges and mills above the cascades, ending with a bathe in one of the village pools. Because bathing is allowed here (unlike Plitvice), it is the place to combine a waterfall morning with a bathe, and the village is small enough that the walk takes an hour or two.

WHAT YOU’LL EXPERIENCE

What you’ll experience

You walk the lanes across the small bridges, visit a working mill, and follow the cascades down to the Korana. In summer you can bathe in the marked pools in the Slunjčica or the Korana, and eat trout at a mill restaurant. The whole visit is unhurried — Rastoke is a village, not a park.
