ABOUT THIS ATTRACTION
The Gold Gondola (2021) runs 9 km from the town centre to Tornik (1,496 m) — among the longest cable-car lines in Europe — over the promenade, the pine woods and the pastures. Tornik is the plateau’s ski centre in winter and its best viewpoint in summer; the riblja čaršija (fish market) station midway serves the town’s weekend crowds.
HISTORY & BACKGROUND
The story behind it
The gondola opened in 2021 as the resort’s leap into the modern era — the project Belgrade investors and the municipality pushed through after decades of plans. Tornik’s skiing (12 km of slopes) is the region’s main winter draw.
