ABOUT THIS EXPERIENCE
Courmayeur’s ski area spreads across two sunny shelves — Plan Chécrouit and the Val Veny flank — reached from town by gondola: about 100 km of runs, famous for tree skiing after storms, long red-and-blue cruising, and a mountain-restaurant scene (Maison Vieille, Chiecco, Chez Ollier) that is half the reason people come. And for the strong, Courmayeur owns the Italian gateway to the Vallée Blanche — the 20-km glacier descent from the Aiguille du Midi (3,842 m) back past the Mer de Glace, guided, roped, and the most famous off-piste in the world.
WHAT YOU’LL EXPERIENCE
What you’ll experience
You ride the town gondola up to Chécrouit in the morning, warm up on the Dolonne side, lunch long on the sun terrace, and finish under the Brenva face. Skiers with glacier experience book a guide at the Casa delle Guide for the Vallée Blanche — an unforgettable day for strong parallel skiers, in high-season conditions best in February–March.
