Cycling the Palić shore and the Ludaš wetlands

The north Bačka plain was made for unhurried cycling, and the Palić loop is its showcase: leave the Secession lakeside promenade, follow the shore cycle path past the Women’s Beach and the Water Tower, and roll north through vineyards toward Ludaško jezero — a Special Nature Reserve whose reed beds shelter more than 200 bird species, from herons and grebes to the rare ferruginous duck. The ride links two lakes, three settlements and a century of lake architecture on roads so flat that distance barely registers. Extend via Hajdukovo for a wine stop, or shorten to the shoreline loop for families.
