ABOUT THIS ATTRACTION

The largest building of Hungarian Art Nouveau anywhere, the Subotica City Hall (1908–12) fuses Lechner’s national style with folklore ornament — Zsolnay pyrogranite ceramics, wrought-iron peacocks, a council chamber under a star dome. Guided visits climb the 45-metre tower for the best view in the north.
