ABOUT THIS EXPERIENCE
The valley of the Matterhorn camps well at every altitude. Camping Cervino at Antey-Saint-André, 15 minutes below Cervinia, is open the whole year: flat pitches, chalets and mobile homes, a pizzeria-restaurant, playground and mini-club, 24-hour security — and the Chamois cable car 30 metres from the gate, rising to the car-free village above. Camping Glair at Valtournenche sits by Lake Maën at 1,530 m with mobile homes and pitches, its own beach on the lake and ten kilometres from the lifts. And in Cervinia itself the municipal Area Camper del Breuil offers eighty paved pitches at 2,000 m (€8.50/24h, water and waste service, shuttle to the centre; no electricity) — wake up, walk twenty minutes, and the pyramid is your alarm clock.
WHAT YOU’LL EXPERIENCE
What you’ll experience
You choose your base: all-season family camping at Antey with the Chamois gondola out of the gate, lakeside pitches at Glair, or the camper area at Cervinia for dawn starts on the mountain. Summer skiing, the Plateau lifts and the valley trails are all within the same half-hour radius.
