ABOUT THIS ATTRACTION
Below the plateau the Crna Reka drops 20 metres through the beech gorge — the region’s best waterfall after the spring melt; the Kađenica cave above the villages holds the ossuary of the 1815 uprising’s dead — the mountain’s memory in stone.
HISTORY & BACKGROUND
The story behind it
The Kađenica (the “smoked one”) is the cave where the people of the villages hid during the 1815 fighting — the Ottomans smoked them out; the ossuary is kept, and the small chapel stands at the entrance. The waterfall’s gorge is the locals’ summer swim.

What to see here

GOOD TO KNOW
Facts & Curiosities
The Kađenica cave keeps the ossuary of 1815 — the uprising’s dead in one chamber.
The Crna Reka falls 20 m through the beech gorge — best in May–June.
The gorge pools are the villages’ swimming holes — cold, clear and local.
The cave-chapel combination makes Kađenica Serbia’s most unusual small memorial.
