ABOUT THIS EXPERIENCE
The valley camps sit in spectacular positions: Camping Aiguille Noire at Zerotta in Val Veny, at 1,520 m under the Aiguille Noire de Peuterey itself, spreads about 100 flat pitches (24 May–30 September) among larches, with a barrel sauna, small pool, minimarket, bar-restaurant and the free half-hourly shuttle into Courmayeur from the gate. Camper vans have serviced areas at the site and valley-floor stopovers at La Palud — an easy dawn start for Tour du Mont Blanc walkers headed for the Bonatti hut.
WHAT YOU’LL EXPERIENCE
What you’ll experience
You wake to the Peuterey ridge out of the tent zip, walk two minutes to the Dora di Veny, and ride the free shuttle in for morning coffee on Via Roma — camping here is a base camp for the whole mountain, not just the site.
