ABOUT THIS EXPERIENCE
Old Qeparo is the Riviera’s most atmospheric hill village: a stone maze of two-storey merchant houses, arched doorways, small churches and orchard terraces on the slope of Mount Gjivlash, hundreds of metres above the sea. Part of it is carefully restored — a few guesthouses and villas welcome guests — while the rest sleeps in picturesque ruin. The ten-minute drive up (or 45-minute walk) filters out almost everyone; those who climb it get the coast’s most photogenic emptiness.
