ABOUT THIS EXPERIENCE

A walk through Korčula old town is a short circuit of the whole peninsula — the herringbone street grid, the Cathedral of St Mark, the towers and the walls, and the alleged Marco Polo birth house. Because the old town is on a small peninsula, the walk takes a couple of hours and gives the whole medieval town at a slow pace, with the sea on both sides.

WHAT YOU’LL EXPERIENCE

What you’ll experience

You enter the peninsula at the land gate, walk the main street to the cathedral square, visit the cathedral and the bishop’s palace, and follow the lanes to the towers and the walls. The sea is visible from the ramparts on both sides, and the alleged Marco Polo birth house is a short detour. The walk ends back at the gate or at the waterfront.
