ABOUT THIS ATTRACTION
Val Veny is the wilder of Courmayeur’s two valleys: a flat, glacial valley floor where the Dora di Veny braids through meadow under the Aiguilles de Peuterey, the Miage glacier spills its moraines toward the mirror of Lago de la Miage, and the rifugio Elisabetta sits at the valley head beneath the Brouillard. At the valley mouth, beside the road to the Mont Blanc tunnel, the sanctuary of Notre Dame de Guérison — built after the village’s 17th-century deliverance from plague — anchors a short devotional path and the start of the valley’s walks.
