ABOUT THIS EXPERIENCE

A circuit of Krk old town takes in the Venetian walls, the Frankopan castle above the harbour and the cathedral complex of Romanesque and early Christian churches — the whole layered past of the island in a walkable headland. The walk is short and the views from the walls take in the harbour and the bridge to the mainland.

WHAT YOU’LL EXPERIENCE

What you’ll experience

You enter through one of the gates, walk the lanes to the cathedral square, visit the castle and the cathedral complex, and follow the walls back toward the harbour. The castle has towers you can ascend, and the cathedral complex holds the early Christian baptistery and the Roman baths alongside the Romanesque nave.
