Lëkurësi crowns the hill south of the bay: a compact Ottoman fortress — square plan, round corner towers, walls you can walk — rebuilt and opened as a castle restaurant and viewpoint. The terrace over the walls is the best panorama in southern Albania: the whole Sarandë bay below, Corfu across the strait, Butrint’s lake to the south and the mountain wall inland. Sunset here is the town’s classic evening.
