Oplenac has grown wine since before the dynasty made it famous; the interwar era’s royal cellar put the hill on Belgrade’s wine lists. Today’s family wineries pour the old varieties — Prokupac red, Tamjanika white — with the unpretentious confidence of Šumadija hospitality. Tastings are 10 minutes from the church by car.
