The old village is Dhërmi’s other half: a hillside maze of stone houses, slate roofs and characterful Orthodox churches, a few hundred metres above the beach. Two decades of careful restoration turned it into the coast’s boutique quarter — design guesthouses, wine bars and hillside terraces — while keeping the lanes, the springs and the views of the original village. It is the quiet, atmospheric Dhërmi, best in the evening golden hour.
