ABOUT THIS EXPERIENCE
Between the old village and the coast, in a pine fold on the hillside, stands the Monastery of St Mary (Shën Mëri) — a small whitewashed complex with a separate bell tower, blue-painted doors and a modest post-Byzantine church. It is the most photogenic building of Dhërmi and the most peaceful: a short detour from the village lanes, usually empty, with wide views over the coast from its doorstep.
