The Konavle loop — cycling Dubrovnik’s hinterland from Cavtat

The Konavle valley behind Cavtat is the greenest corner of the Dubrovnik region: a flat river plain threaded with mill villages, plane-tree avenues and the old Ljuta mills below the Sniježnica ridge. The loop from Cavtat runs roughly 25 km through the valley villages — Čilipi’s Sunday folklore, Gruda’s mills, the quiet Konavoski dvori stops — on low-traffic roads best ridden April–June and September–October.
