Seasonal conditions
Dry, snow-free conditions; typically late spring to early autumn, subject to current national-park access.
ROUTE
A short mountain-bike trail from the Čukovi entrance across the Kliševića plateau towards the Štrbački Buk visitor area, combining forest terrain, cultural interpretation and a rough final descent.
ABOUT THIS ROUTE
This compact Una National Park ride follows the educational route known as “Along the Paths of Past”. It begins at Entrance No. 2 in Čukovi and crosses the Kliševića plateau towards the Štrbački Buk area. Interpretation along the route introduces traces of fortified sites, towers, religious buildings and the former local route towards the Una railway and riverside mills.
The route is short in distance but should not be treated as a casual paved cycle path. Its opening section climbs away from Čukovi, while the final approximately 1.5 kilometres descend over very rough terrain. Wet weather can materially increase the difficulty. Verified statistics for the route are 5 km over roughly 1 hour 15 minutes, with 205 metres of ascent, 298 metres of descent, a maximum elevation of 591 metres and a minimum elevation of 294 metres.
