ROUTE
The classic full-day Plitvice circuit — all sixteen lakes, the Upper and Lower Lakes, the Kozjak boat and the train return.
ABOUT THIS ROUTE
Program C is the classic full Plitvice circuit: all sixteen lakes in one walk, combining the forested terraces of the Upper Lakes, the electric-boat crossing of Kozjak, the canyon drama of the Lower Lakes and Veliki Slap, with the panoramic train as the return leg. It is the program that shows the whole park — the travertine terraces, the canyon, the big waterfall and the calm lake crossing — and the one to choose if you have a full day and want to understand why Plitvice is a living landscape rather than a single view. The distance and time below are typical for a steady pace; allow more in the busy midday hours, and confirm the day’s boat and train timetable at the entrance before setting out.
PLAN RESPONSIBLY
Use only when the complete program and its boat and panoramic-vehicle connections are operating; confirm current conditions before departure.
Program C is a full visitor circuit rather than a short waterfall walk. Keep the group together, follow the signed program and park instructions, and shorten the visit if weather, fatigue or transport delays make completion uncertain.

ATTRACTIONS
Plitvice Lakes National Park
Croatia’s oldest national park and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979 — sixteen interconnecting lakes stepped down a forested karst valley, joined by waterfalls and traversed by wooden boardwalks.
Plitvice Lakes
Upper Lakes
The twelve Upper Lakes (Gornja jezera) — a longer, more forested chain of travertine terraces and cascades, the quieter and more expansive half of the park.
Plitvice Lakes
Kozjak Lake
The largest and deepest of the Plitvice lakes, crossed by a silent electric-boat service that links the Upper and Lower sections of the park.
Plitvice Lakes
Lower Lakes
The four Lower Lakes (Donja jezera) — set in a dramatic limestone canyon with the Great Waterfall at its head and the boardwalks threading along the canyon floor.
Plitvice Lakes
Veliki Slap
The Great Waterfall (Veliki Slap) — at 78 metres the tallest waterfall in Croatia, where the Plitvica River plunges into the head of the Lower Lakes canyon.
