ABOUT THIS EXPERIENCE
Karaburun is the mountainous peninsula that seals the Bay of Vlorë from the open Ionian — Albania’s wildest stretch of coast, roadless and reached only by boat or a long coastal hike. Its signature sight is Grama Bay on the seaward side: a deep, sheltered cove whose cliffs carry ancient Greek and Latin ship-inscriptions carved over two thousand years, a natural harbour where sailors have sheltered since antiquity. Boat trips from Vlorë combine swimming stops, sea caves and the peninsula’s turquoise water.
