The route in detail
The Đerdap viewpoints road runs the Danube gorge from the Golubac fortress to Donji Milanovac — the Kazan gorge’s vertical cliffs, the Roman Tabula Traiana plaque, the Lepenski Vir archaeology and the Ploče–Golo Brdo viewpoint walk above the river’s narrowest point. The drive is Serbia’s great scenic road; the boat taxis cross at the Kazan.
