The route in detail
The Trem climb is the classic day out of Niš: the marked trail from the Gadžin Han side (or the Bojanine Vode approach) climbs through the beech to the bare limestone summit of Suva Planina at 1,810 m, with the whole Nišava valley and the Balkan ranges on the horizon. The mountain is among Serbia’s most celebrated hiking grounds; the trails are marked and the spring sources mark the way.
